Buddy Allen Carpet One Proudly Announces Record Setting Donation To Help Disabled Veterans

BUDDY ALLEN CARPET ONE SETS RECORD FOR DISABLED VETERANS DONATIONS.

Always ones to give back, Buddy Allen Carpet One in Nashville, TN recently held a series of very special events over a three-day period, culminating in the 4th Annual Buddy Allen Golf Tournament to benefit the Tunnel to Towers' Building for America’s Bravest program (www.tunnel2towers.org).

Buddy Allen Carpet One is truly a family affair. This third-generation small business, now successfully run by siblings Zack Allen, Judd Allen and Jenna Allen, has fallen in love with this Foundation that builds smart homes for disabled vets and supports first responders nationwide.

In May, Buddy Allen Carpet One celebrated the grand opening of their new, modern showroom with many well-wishers, a Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting, a live radio remote broadcast, and giveaways, and, of course, many, many opportunities for the community to support the Foundation by purchasing Tunnel to Towers Building for America’s t-shirts and hats and making cash donations all afternoon!

The next evening was the Pre-Tee Off Party where live music and great food was provided to guests during a silent and live auction. This event, which yielded upwards of $10,000, was highlighted with the auction of a golden fiddle signed by Charlie Daniels. During the next day’s main event, the community welcomed a guest speaker whose story was very close to home.

Taking the stage before a packed clubhouse, Foundation member Tom McDonough came all the way from the Big Apple to share the powerful story of Stephen Siller.  Siller, a late NYC firefighter whose heroic actions of selflessness on 9/11 inspired the Foundation’s mission, continued to inspire from beyond the grave that day, with many golfers participating in hole after hole of contests to support the cause.  By day’s end, donations exceeded a record-setting $35,000!!!

To put this amazing total into perspective, consider this: every year since 9/11, the Foundation honors first responders with a 5K race in New York City.  Zack, Judd, Jenna and their mother, Terry Parks, participate in this race annually.  Forever changed by their experiences, the family continues to work hard raising funds for this worthy cause. Today, Buddy Allen Carpet One has held steady as one of the Cooperative’s top fundraisers, with a three-year total of $85,000 raised to date!

Congratulations Buddy Allen Carpet One Floor and Home – you’ve been a force to be reckoned with for the Foundation and we can’t wait to see what’s next!
